At Wirth & Horn GmbH, we consider digital accessibility for people with disabilities to be of great importance.
We are committed to providing all users with an inclusive online experience, in full compliance with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and all relevant accessibility standards. These include EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as well as the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the Accessibility Strengthening Ordinance (BFSGV) adopted under it.
Our goal is to make our digital services easy to use and understand for everyone.
To ensure compliance with the requirements of the BFSG and related accessibility standards, we regularly carry out both automated and manual tests to systematically review our digital services against the WCAG 2.1, Level AA, and EN 301 549. These tests help us identify and remove potential barriers. Accessibility has also been integrated into our software development lifecycle. The review of the websites was conducted through software-supported tests (including Google Lighthouse and WAVE) on sample pages.
Based on our most recent assessment, all of our websites are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as well as the European Standard EN 301 549, as referenced in the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). This means that essential parts of the websites already meet the relevant accessibility requirements, but there is still room for improvement in some areas to achieve full compliance. We are actively working to remove these remaining barriers.
